Winter is a season that holds many wonders. Oftentimes, it’s a season where new love blooms, and sometimes old love is rekindled. We’ve compiled a list of book recommendations for you that displays a satisfying balance of both. Happy reading!
The Mistletoe Pact by Jo Lovett – starting at the top of the list is a story that takes secret feelings to an entirely new level. A seemingly meaningless pact sends friends Evie and Dan on the romantic journey of a lifetime. Find out if they to continue to move forward in this new relationship or back to the comfortable friendship they always knew.
One Day in December by Josie Silver – this novel heart-wrenching tells a heart-wrenching story of a fated connection, lost. Or was it? Laurie and Jack both felt that certain spark as their gazes met when Laurie’s bus passed him on the street. Time, however, reunited them a decade later and Jack is introduced as the new boyfriend of Laurie’s best friend. What happens next involves a whirlwind of pain and joy.
Faking Under the Mistletoe by Ashley Shepherd – Have you ever wondered what happens when you combine a Christmas-obsessed employee with her anti-Christmas boss? Well, for Olivia and Asher it means deceiving an ex-girlfriend, company holiday revelries, and falling in love…hard. Dive in to see how things turn out for them!
The Holiday Switch by Tif Marcelo – there’s nothing more perfect than a winter romance that stems from a little friendly competition. Or perhaps, there’s nothing worse. Teddy and Lila surely might think so in this tale of unlikely teenage love. Is unexpectedly switching their phones and a snowstorm enough to change things? There’s only one way to find out!
The Girl Who Kept Winter by Giao Chi Phan, Annie Phan – we wanted to give you a little break from the Christmas frenzy with this tale. An impromptu escape from a displeasing wedding may prove to be a curse rather than a blessing for Dong Tu. Although, a romantic collision with the gorgeous king of poison might make things slightly better.
Snow in Love by Melissa de La Cruz, Aimee Friedman, Nic Stone, & Kasie West – having one winter romance story is fun, but having four is even better! From airport scavenger hunts to startling gift exchanges, we’re positive you’ll enjoy these quirky tales.
Wintersong: A Novel by S. Jae-Jones – a lot of things change when a person turns eighteen, but certainly musician Liesl didn’t expect to be going underground to save her sister from the fabled Goblin King. Furthermore, she doesn’t particularly dislike the underground kingdom or its ruler. Join Liesl on this magical journey to discover who she is.
Love at the Icicle Café by Denise N. Wheatley – successful lawyer Mina is perfectly happy with the life she has. So, it’s no surprise that she would want to get selling her parents’ winter-themed café done quickly in order to return to that life. Unfortunately, it won’t be so easy, not if her childhood first love and friend, Scott, has anything to say about it.
