Good news: The Writing Barn will be reopening our indoor and outdoor space situated on our 7.5-acre wooded property in South Austin for parties! With graduation season coming up, this is the perfect place to celebrate the class of 2021! Or, for those in the class of 2020 who missed their graduation parties last year, you can use this space to celebrate that milestone this year.
Book your grad party at The Barn Library + Party Porch, the perfect celebration space! The indoor portion features a spacious open area, floor-to-ceiling bookshelves, a galley kitchen, and ample room for tables and decorations. The large screened-in porch — dubbed the “party porch” — is covered in autographs from the many authors who have visited.
Book the Writing Barn Library + Party Porch for $150/hour, plus a $150 cleaning fee.
And, if you have friends and family coming from out of town, the Writing Barn has on-site lodging at the Book House! We are happy to put together a custom event + lodging package for you. You’ll have free WiFi and access to walking trails on the wooded property surrounding the Barn.

We require a minimum 4-hour booking, which includes set-up and take-down time. We have a variety of event supplies, including lots of tables and chairs, which you may arrange to your liking. The Writing Barn requires a 50% deposit and signed rental agreement to secure an event date.
