Help Us Expand Our Youth Programming!
The rise of COVID_19 cases forced us to reexamine the way we offer all of our programs here at The Writing Barn. One of the unexpected positives to come from this is the expansion of our youth programming.
We took our youth summer camps online for the first time. This opened a door for kids who wouldn’t necessarily be able to travel to Austin to take part in our creative writing classes. It let kids from across the country spend quality time talking to, and learning from, some of their favorite writers.
This has been an inspiration for the staff here at The Writing Barn. It’s a great reminder, especially in uncertain times, that people can be inspired, excited, and motivated by opportunities like these.
If you’re published author with a class you’d like to offer online, we’d love to hear your pitch. We plan to offer more youth programming in all genres, so writers of all genres: send your ideas our way.
