The Writing Barn is thrilled to have Spike Gillespie, the critically acclaimed author of The Maine Event and another five books, here in July and August for two Memoir Writing Workshops. Here are the details:
Session One: July 5, 6 and 7, 2013
Session Two: Aug. 2, 3 and 4, 2013
These three-day, super intensive, memoir-writing workshops are for those of you ready to put your story down on the page and those of you already in the process. It’s fine if you don’t have a lot of writing experience, but it is very important that you are clear on the story you wish to tell. (Don’t worry if you don’t know how to tell it yet, that’s part of what we’ll focus on.)
Cost is $225 and includes five vegetarian meals: dinner on Friday night at Spike’s house to set your intent for the workshop, plus breakfast and lunch both days of the retreat.
On Saturday we meet from 8am to 5pm, and on Sunday we meet from 9am to 4pm.
A $75 non-refundable deposit holds your spot. Email Spike at spike@spikeg.com if you want to sign up. Space is limited. Sign up before March 31, 2013, and receive a $50 discount.
