Whether it’s a book release party, corporate meetings, birthdays, baby showers, reunions – you name it – The Writing Barn is a great event venue to consider! With a serene atmosphere including a screened front porch with twinkly lights, hammocks among the trees and about a million deer poking quietly throughout the surrounding wooded area, you’ll forget you’re only a twenty minute drive from downtown Austin.
Over this month, The Writing Barn has served as the space for a Dr. Seuss themed birthday party, a book release party for Cory Putman Oakes’ Dinosaur Boy, and a local business retreat! The Writing Barn is versatile, able to accommodate overnight guests in the Barn’s bedroom, or in the separate Book House or Cabin. The Writing Barn has foldout tables and chairs, giving visitors the freedom to configure the space as needed. The galley kitchen is fully stocked with mugs, plates, coffee making supplies, and snacks. The full-size fridge on the porch in addition to the galley kitchen’s mini fridge allows plenty of food storage.
