Are you ready to launch a chapter book series in a way that will carry you through book #1
and beyond?

It’s hard to sell a standalone chapter book. As publisher’s vie for shelf space in bookstores, a slim volume can easily get lost. That’s why agents and editors are looking for chapter book series to capture young readers’ imaginations.

Based on his experience creating two chapter book series, MR. GRIZLEY’S CLASS and MILO GRAY’S IMAGINATION ADVENTURES (coming August 2024), Bryan will guide you through the process of creating a compelling chapter book series.

Students will learn:

  • How to create a series encyclopedia that will guide you as you tackle each new book in the series
  • World-building techniques that will ensure you never run out of people, places, or challenges to
    drive your stories
  • Methods to create relatable characters that will appeal to readers
  • When to create backmatter to help reinforce the story and encourage a love of reading
  • Ways to keep your readers reaching for the next book in the series

Who should take this webinar:

  • Kidlit authors looking to start their first chapter book or authors with a finished manuscript
wondering “where do I go from here?”
  • Chapter book authors looking for inspiration and tools to grow their skills
  • Writers for other genres looking to challenge themselves by tackling a new category of
    storytelling
