Writing Barn friends,
As of January 2013, we’ve been holding classes, retreats, book launches and parties for one-full-year. Last January, poet/teacher Scott Wiggerman kicked things off with two SOLD OUT poetry workshops. We owe Austin writers — nope, all of Texas’s writing community — a resounding YEEHAW for the wonderful welcome you’ve given to The Writing Barn. Thank you!
This year, we again, have great January offerings.
We, at the Barn, are super thrilled to have Jodi Egerton, of Write Good Consulting, teaching this January. Her half-day workshop Word Play! is designed to get us to the page in fun and creative ways. For those of you who know Jodi, you know she is sprightly, spunky, and full of joy. Look at her energy in the pic below! And, she knows her stuff.
Join Jodi on Jan. 26th, 9am to 1pm at The Writing Barn for Word Play!
More about the class:
Whether you’re a seasoned writer working to complete your third novel, or an aspiring writer launching your first blog, this workshop will guide you through techniques for sparking creativity, overcoming writer’s block, and bringing new life to your voice and story.
Acclaimed writing instructor Jodi Egerton will lead a series of exercises and games inspired by her work in writing consulting and improvisation. She’ll challenge you to take your writing in new directions, leap into the unknown, and play with images, words, and ideas.
You’ll also spend time crafting writing goals and creative intentions for the year. Everyone at the workshop will be invited to join the Write Good Consulting private Facebook group for continued support and encouragement.
You’ll leave feeling refreshed and energized, enthusiastic and excited, ready to create, ready to write!
A morning at the Writing Barn with Jodi would make the perfect New Year’s gift for yourself and someone you love.
