Baby Showers at The Writing Barn
A new arrival is a moment of joy and celebration. Honor the mother-to-be (and father-to-be) with a baby shower held at The Writing Barn. We couldn’t be more excited to help make this big moment a little easier by providing the perfect place to host your celebration.
The Writing Barn, with it’s versatile settings, can be themed in a number of ways: book themed baby showers abound, but so do woodland creature and animal themes. Feel free to pull some of the picture books from the Barn shelves (simply re-shelve when done) to assist in unique table decor. Other book accents throughout the space may be used as well.
If you’re interested in having a large event to welcome your new addition, then consider renting out Buddha Hall. Its rustic modern aesthetic and wide open entertaining space makes it perfect for the baby shower you’re holding or hosting.
Enjoy your special moment at The Writing Barn. Learn more below about our amenities, pricing, and lodging options for overnight visits.
Baby showers are our most popular rental and we love celebrating special moments with families and families-to-be. Surround yourself with friends, family, and 7.5 acres of woodland trees, flowers, and maybe even a fawn or two. The Barn Library and Party Porch are perfect for an indoor/outdoor event, or rent out Buddha Hall for a larger gathering.
In addition to the unique and lovely environment, you can pull some of the children’s books from the bookshelves for table displays. We also have four large apothecary jars that can be used for decorative items (blocks, cookies, rattles, etc.) as well as large decorative books that can be used to add height to food and gift tables. We also have a number of serving trays/cake plates etc. The Writing Barn has everything you need to hold and host a special day to welcome a new arrival.

The loft area has a comfy, full-sized futon and an over-sized reading chair. Retreaters may gather in the common areas of the living room—which features unique book accents—or on the full house wrap-around porch.
