SXSW Dates: March 11th – 20th 2016
It’s getting closer to that time of the year when Austin City Streets are flooded with up and coming musicians, artists, tech companies, and more! Whether you’re an out of town tourist, coming to check out the live music and great food, or here on business, you’re going to need a place to stay. Instead of a standard, crowded hotel, why not stay at The Writing Barn?
This rustic, but elegant, rental property is located in the middle of South Austin, on 7.5 acres of beautiful wooded surroundings. We’re no more than a twenty minute drive from the night life of downtown, but The Writing Barn has the added benefit of feeling like you’re in your own private oasis.
The Writing Barn is perfect for solo stays, as well as large group and corporate retreats!
The large library area offers plenty of space for tables in which to feature catered food, display or gifts tables. The screened-in porch features a unique wagon wheel table, signed autographs from publishing’s elite, and the space is surrounded by beautiful trees. And it doesn’t matter whether the weather is warm or chilly. The porch has fans to keep guests cool, as well as space heaters to keep them warm, as well as two fire pits which may be used in the outdoor courtyard area.
Rentals come with access to table linens, buffet plates, silverware, some serving items, as well as book-themed display items.
For single stays, guests are always welcome, but a party fee will be included for any events.
