Hello there everyone, I hope you have all had a wonderful week and have been engaging in the Austin book world. This week is full of book signings and readings, from fiction to poetry there is something for everyone. Again i’ll sign out with one reminder, go out and support local authors and poets in this wonderful literary city.
Saturday, April 4 at 7p.m. Are you up for a wonderful evening full of speculative fiction? Whether you enjoy fiction or fantasy, this is an evening for you. Malvern Books is having A speculative evening with Eugene Fischer, Janalyn Guo, and Jessica Reisman. The night will include a reading by Fischer from his novella The New Mother.
Monday, April 6 at 7p.m. Author T.C. Boyle will be speaking and signing his newest novel, The Harder They Come. The event is free with the purchase of Boyle’s novel from Book people. The novel is about the confrontation of three very different, very interesting people.
Tuesday, April 7 at 7p.m. Book Woman is having a Getting to Know the Goddess series. This week the event will feature Lakshmi the Hindu Goddess of joy and abundance. This event is a wonderful time to get to relax and meditate. With calm meditation you will be able to connect with Lakshmi and find joy and abundance.
Wednesday, April 8 at 7p.m. Malvern Books is having their Raw Paw reading series, which is a series made for showcasing poems monthly. Every month the Raw Paw series showcases twenty poems from one of Austin’s best poets. The title for the poetry collections is Mind Maze.
Thursday, April 9 at 7p.m. Are you ready for some of the newest epic reads? if so, then you need to go to Book People for their Epic Reads event. The night will include four new authors: Sara Raasch author of Snow Like Ashes, Danielle Paige author of The Wicked Will Rise, Heather Brewer author of The Cemetery Boys, and Victoria Aveyard author of Red Queen.
