Today’s kids have an endless supply of information at their fingertips, so how do you convince them to pick up your nonfiction book?

You grab them with a hook!

A strong hook doesn’t just capture young readers’ attention; it catches an editor’s interest too. In this workshop, we’ll explain the elements of a great hook, discuss examples of books that successfully hook readers, and explore how to uncover the right approach to your topic so you can present it in a way that makes readers excited to dive in.
